Ashton Grange Activities

Ashton Grange Nursing Home in Horsham provides a wide range of daily therapeutic and leisure activities 7 days a week based on what the residents are interested in at that particular time.

Aiko the activities co- Ordinator for Ashtongrange Nursing Home has had specialist training in arm chair exercises and makes full use of it with a wide variety of activities such as ball throwing, catching and skittles to name but a few.

Val the Horsham Nursing homes other activity co-ordinator provides hand massages, nail varnishing, hand and foot massages.

Lini does the activities with residents especially during weekends and is very talented in colouring and craft works.

Activities can occur both within the home's conservatory and within the individual resident's bedroom depending on what they wish.

The home also has a minibus which allows the residents able to have trips out to local garden centres, parks or the Downs or to visit Horsham or Crawley which isn't very far.

The home has external entertainment coming to the home frequently to provide things like musical entertainers, plays.

Christmas / Birthdays or Special Events

Christmas time is always a season of cheer at Ashton Grange Nursing Home in Horsham. We have a Christmas party in December where Families are invited to celebrate with their loved ones this special time of the year.

Carol Service is arranged for all Service Users and relatives where they have the opportunity to take part in this pleasant service.

Birthdays are always celebrated by a homemade birthday cake and a small get together in the lounge for Family, friends and our Service Users if they wish to be present.

At Easter we give chocolate eggs to our Service Users and also, we have a raffle for lots of wonderful prizes as well a lovely roast either lamb or chicken on Easter Sunday for lunch.

Summer time is when we hold our annual garden party which families new and of old have good food and fun on this great day.
